Oliver's Historic Class win at the difficult Oulton Park Circuit, together with his impressive performance at France 's Magny Cours in 2005, and his recent crowning as Historic Sports 2000 Champion demonstrates his ability and expertise. In July 2006 he won the covetable LOLA Cup in its last year for Historic Sports 2000s at Snetterton against very stiff competition after starting from the pit lane. Oliver now holds most of the Historic Sports 2000 lap records and is keen to up the tally as he believes strongly in continuous improvement! Oliver is contesting the Sports 2000 Pinto Championship in 2009 in the now familiar orange Tiga GC80.

Racing Sports 2000

In spite of only racing seven of the eight race meetings of the Sports 2000 series (missing out on 15 points) in 2006, 24 year old Oliver gained an impressive ten Class Wins, won the Lola Cup outright, and achieved a creditable 3rd in the Historic Pinto Championship.

A hard earned win  and new lap record in the first race of the 2008 Historic Championship in the Tiga SC80 beautifully prepared for Davison-Highley by John Danby Racing, had set Oliver on course for 2008. The Championship was secured after he dominated the last 3 rounds at Cadwell Park , Snetterton and Brands Hatch.
