Motorsport Industry Experience
Working with the family race team Gilford Motorsport over the last eight years, Oliver has supported the operation of the BMW M3 E36 in the European I.S.C.S. endurance series, a historic Alfa Romeo Giulia in the FISA Historic Touring Car Challenge, and Nick Atkins's Tiga GC286 in Group C culminating in the support race for the Le Mans 24 hours. He has instructed and demonstrated at TEAM SO's high profile corporate
day for Shell at Snetterton with Filipe Massa, and is involved in the same team's campaign, ‘So You Think You Can Drive', to reduce the number of deaths of teenage first year drivers.

Winning Streak
Oliver's Historic Class win at the difficult Oulton Park Circuit, together with his impressive performance at France 's Magny Cours in 2005, and his recent crowning as Historic Sports 2000 Champion demonstrates his ability and expertise. In July 2006 he won the covetable LOLA Cup in its last year for Historic Sports 2000s at Snetterton against very stiff competition after starting from the pit lane. Oliver now holds most of the Historic Sports 2000 lap records and is keen to up the tally as he believes strongly in continuous improvement! Oliver has won both the Historic and the Pinto Championship in the now familiar orange Tiga GC80, number 63!
Racing Sports 2000
A hard earned win and new lap record in the first race of the 2008 Historic Championship in the Tiga SC80 beautifully prepared for Davison-Highley by John Danby Racing, had set Oliver on course for 2008. The Championship was secured after he dominated the last 3 rounds at Cadwell Park , Snetterton and Brands Hatch.
Oliver then went on in 2009 to win the entire Pinto Championship in the historic Tiga GC80, putting much newer and more aerodynamic models to shame.
Down & Personal
27 year old Oliver married Jo in 2008. Jo, apart from working in communications, is admin support and heads up the corporate hospitality side of race activities. Oliver's mother 'H', Stepfather Nick Atkins and Godfather Barry Davison of Davison-Highley, have been instrumental in sponsoring and managing Oliver's career so far, bringing invaluable motor racing experience and 'family' feel to the team. Oliver and Jo have just celebrated their second wedding anniversary, as well as the First Birthday of son Joshua, who like a true racer timed his birth around Oliver's Oulton Park race weekend last year.
