Oliver’s first Championship win came in the 2008 Historic Pinto Championship, in which he won every race with multiple lap records.
He then decided to push himself and the team to take the same car (Historic class Tiga SC80) to compete in the Pinto Championship for 2009, racing against 22 year newer technology (namely a Van Diemen RFSC02) he won the Championship by 1 point and set a record for being the first Historic class car to win the Pinto Title outright.
Since then Oliver has tasted success in many forms of racing including Single Seaters, Sports Prototypes and GT Cars.
